New AFCCT Volunteers Award Scheme Announced – The Captain’s Award! image

The Captain’s Award

At the heart of Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT), are our volunteers who give up their valuable time to support the work that of the Trust. AFCCT would like to give the recognition that is deserved to these dedicated individuals, through a new volunteer recognition scheme – The Captain’s Award.

The Captain’s Award not only recognises the committed hours of volunteering, but highlights the drive, passion and enthusiasm for the work of the Trust that you would expect from a Captain with their team, on and off the pitch. They have the opportunity to lead by example in their community and bring others along on the journey.

The Captain’s Awards will recognise volunteers across three levels, measured in hours volunteered for AFCCT: 100 hours, 250 hours and 500 hours. This level of commitment to the Trust goes above and beyond, and is something that the Trust values greatly.

Jenna McDonald, who runs the volunteers programme said: “I’m excited for the launch of this new volunteer scheme. It will ensure that we are recognising all the hard work that each and every volunteer puts into the Trust on a daily basis.”

“Being able to reward the work that the volunteers do for the community will allow them be recognised for their commitment alongside being supported through their volunteering journey.”
