We kicked off Volunteers' Week 2026 last night with a volunteer recognition event at Milton on the Corner.

It was great to bring together volunteers from across Aberdeen FC Community Trust and take the opportunity to thank them for the time, support and encouragement they provide throughout the year.

Our volunteers support the Trust in lots of different ways, from health and wellbeing programmes and community events to fundraising activities and much more besides.

Quite simply, we wouldn't be able to do everything we do without them.

AFCCT Operations Manager, Mark Anderson, said: "People often see the programmes and events we deliver, but behind many of them are volunteers giving up their time to help others. We're incredibly grateful for that support and it was great to spend an evening recognising and thanking them."

A huge thank you as well to Jay and everyone at Milton on the Corner for so generously donating meals for all those who attended and helping us celebrate our volunteers in such a welcoming setting.
