Throughout both weeks of the school October holidays AFC Community Trust delivered football camps at various venues across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.

Throughout both weeks of the school October holidays AFC Community Trust delivered football camps at various venues across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.

The camps seen over 250 youngsters participating and enjoying football in a safe and child friendly environment. The Player of the Week award was presented to each group at the weeklong camp during week 1 at Aberdeen Sports Village as well as 1 overall winner from the Out and About smaller camps. The award is aimed to encourage and provide praise for kids that demonstrated a good attitude and good citizenship throughout the camps. Pictured above is the 16 winners of the awards on the pitch at half-time versus Celtic.

AFCCT Community Coach Liam McGarry said “The Community Trust are in a unique position and we like to help create special memories for loyal supporters of the Club and the Trust, I hope this day will be all and more than expected for these young Dons supporters.”   Alison Pearson, mother of Fraserburgh’s Player of the Week Owen Pearson said “Owen had a great day. I am sure he will remember it forever.”    On behalf of everyone at AFCCT I would like to congratulate the winners for their efforts!
