11 Years and Counting of CNR International Support of Aberdeen FC Community Trust

Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) has recognised the decade-long contribution of key partner, CNR International.

To mark the occasion, CNR International’s Managing Director, Barry Duncan was presented with a plaque, recognising the company’s support of AFCCT since the formation of the charity in 2014.

Commenting on the milestone, Barry said, “We are very grateful to Aberdeen FC Community Trust for recognising this milestone.

“At the heart of our culture there is a belief that we should put something back into the communities in which we operate.

“In fact, one of core values is to be an outstanding corporate citizen and one of the ways we “live” this core value is to support around 40 local “evergreen” charities that we support year after year, both financially and through staff volunteering.

“We are extremely proud to reach this milestone, having been a supporter of the Trust since it was formed in 2014, and seeing firsthand the incredible work AFCCT does improving the lives of so many people in our community.”

Over the years, CNR International’s support for the Trust has taken many forms, including being one of three title sponsors of the Trust’s fundraising lunch for a number of years, most recently the 2025 event with Gothenburg Great, Eric Black.

Just last Christmas, the company provided funding for the winter campaign, which was part of the Trust’s Health & Wellbeing programme, supporting participants at the Pittodrie Community Hub and the Dons Families Together.

Liz Bowie, Chief Executive said “We are delighted to present CNR International with a plaque in recognition of their long-term commitment to Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust.  CNR International is an inspirational, values driven company who lead the way in supporting so many local charities.  As a leader, Barry Duncan ensures that his team live their values, they are not simply words on paper!  CNR International make things happen for local charities and enable so many people across the region to benefit from their generosity.

As an example, CNR International once again ensured that AFCCT was able to host a wonderful Christmas lunch for our health and wellbeing participants.  An opportunity that allows us to spread festive cheer to many and combat the, all too common, issue of social isolation during the Christmas period.

Thank you to CNR International and Barry for his vision, leadership and commitment to supporting AFCCT and charities across the northeast.”

A huge thanks once again to the team at CNR International for their continued and hugely valuable support of the Trust’s work throughout Aberdeen City and ‘Shire, and for providing that support over the last decade.
